Member of the British Christmas Tree Growers Association
I started planting Christmas trees in 1996 as a hobby. I was a lot younger then and planting 6000 trees a year by hand was easy. Originally the plan was to sell to the whole sale market only. Over they years I have found more pleasure dealing with the public. I now grow 1000 trees a year and it take’s nine years to get a full size tree.
I have a mixture of Norway Spruce, Scots Pine and Fraser Fur. Where possible I try to keep the use of herbicides to a minimum and over the last few years have used Gloucester Old Spot pigs to clear the ground prior to planing. This has the added benefit of fertilising the ground.
I believe in supplying the freshest trees possible so the trees are cut on request. Why not pay us a visit in December? Wonder around the field and pick your tree. I will then cut or dig the tree.
I am based in Churchill, Blakedown. Open every weekend in December from 9:30 to 17:00.
